Create Your Own

Tonight I will tell you all about the Create Your Own choices.
This is a hard one to talk about because this is really were you can get creative. At our store we have 33 different things that you can mix into your ice cream. Among the most popular I would say is caramel, fudge, rainbow sprinkles, pecans, oreo cookies, and reese's. But that is just barely scratching the surface of all that we have to offer.
With a create your own ice cream you get to choose your ice cream, size, and then one mix-in to add. I know! Just one seems so absurd. But when it comes down to it one is usually enough. But no worries you can add other toppings for a small fee, and that is worth it. I mean you can't have oreos without peanut butter right?

The average amount of toppings a person will choose is about three. Which is a pretty good number seeing that most of our Signature Creations are made with three mix-ins. When people make up a new creation they like to get it again and again. Then they will name it after themselves and tell us we should put it up on the board. And in some cases I really think we should put some on the board. I once had a blind gentleman come in and order banana ice cream with coconut, pineapple, and pecans. This made me think of a tropical kinda ice cream. I've suggested to a few people and some of them have gotten it and they say it tastes pretty good. That is just one example I have for you. I will have other posts with Customer Creations as I like to call them.
With this post I will leave a link to theCold Stone webiste. It will give you a list of all the ice cream and mix-ins we might have. Not all stores carry the same product, so you might want to call ahead of time if you want to make sure something is there.

Signature Creation Know How

First we will start with our Signature Creations since that is sorta why we are what we are.

We have 20 different Signatures on our boards already, plus for those lucky few who enjoyed our ice cream in the "old days" we have many many more. Most of which I don't even know because I wasn't around that long ago. When you come in and look at our board of Signatures all you have to do is say the crazy name of it, and what size you want. For example " I would like to have a Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip in a love it size". No I did not type that wrong. But most people will skip out on the name and say " Can I have the mint one"?
It is a lot of  fun when you say the name, and we don't even make fun of you if mess it up.

After we pull your ice cream and put it on the stone we will ask if you would like to try your ice cream in a waffle bowl. We have plain and chocolate dipped. The chocolate dipped ones also have sprinkles, peanuts, graham cracker pie crust, and coconut. When we are feeling creative we will sometimes do an oreo cookie dipped and a butter finger. But don't expect those too often.
Also when you order a Signature Creation you can substitute an item or even the ice cream if you wish. I will show you an example of an item first. Say you want a Coffee Lovers Only, but hate caramel. No worries just tell your ice cream scooper that you don't want any caramel, if they are a good employee they will ask if you would like something else or to add one more portion of something already in the mix. Now when you substitute an ice cream flavor all you do is say I would like a Birthday Cake Remix, but instead of cake batter ice cream can I have chocolate. Make sure you say that before we start scooping or we will get a little angry.
Then after we hand you your ice cream we will take you down to our register and cash you out. Sorry no free ice cream here.

A fare warning to you

Well I work at Cold Stone Creamery. I started in February of 2011. It's a pretty good job, I don't have to wake up early, I can eat ice cream all day if I want, and the best part of it all, is coming home smelling like candy and spoiled milk. Well that last part was a lie, that isn't the best part. That smell doesn't go away until you shower. Even if you wash your hands at work before you leave they still smell like the place. I think that the soap also has the candy/spoiled milk smell in it.
But I did not start this blog to let you all know about what I come home smelling like. I started this blog so that you all know what to get and not get when you come into our store. We have to many choices. I think there are over 11 million different combinations of candy and ice cream. And you will never get to taste all those 11 million different combinations in your life time. So i'm here to help narrow things down a little bit for you. I know that you don't have my taste buds, and I don't have yours. But some people have the same tastes right? So I figure I will let you know what I like and I will also do my best to let you know what other people like as well.
This blog will include creations that are already hand picked and on our boards, ones that costumers have modified, ones my co workers have modified , and anything else that sounds yummy. So before you read any more into this blog you better have a full stomach or you will be wanting to go out and buy these ice creams as soon as you read this.
